Well I spent the morning organizing the house and making it more useable.
After getting Harold to move the exercise bike into the bedroom and the chair out into the livingroom, then I looked at my messy and crowded office and unpacked my dads piano!
I played a few tunes, buddy upstairs bangs on the floor, so I turned it down and realized I’m pretty rusty after 20 years, but it’s like riding a bike, 10 minutes later I was remembering the notes.
The only songs I know are the ones I used to sing with my Dad years ago.
Praise and worship songs that we sang together at my wedding 23 years ago, in church since I was 7 and so on…
I sang some of the songs my Dad wrote and it felt good.
I felt like he was sitting there beside me while I was trying to play it.
It was like he was telling me what note to push, odd, warm feeling.
I finally hooked up my radio!
All this time I thought it was broken, the cord wasn’t plugged in!
There was a cord right beside it, plugged into the power bar, so I assumed it was my radio and thought about buying another one.
Today while moving the book shelf around I realized the cord was tucked in behind and wrapped around the other one. They look identical!
That’s what I get for being too lazy to check it.
Honestly with 50,000 cords (I’m exaggerating) wrapped around each other and 3 power bars full of stuff I realized I’ve got too much stuff in ONE corner!
So I distributed it around the room.
I have enough common sense to not use it all at once!
Harold had plugged some game piece into the back of my VCR and it’s ruined the tuner in it!
WARNING don’t plug in any old game systems into the VCR!
He didn’t have an outlet on the TV so he used my VCR and now I can’t use it for the TV!
I hope I can still watch a video on it, but it’s been about 2 years since I’ve used it.
Thanks to satellite TV I grab On Demand Movies when I feel like it.
Usually Sunday night we’ll watch a movie together.
It doesn’t always work out though because Harold and I do not like the same movies.
Oh well, I’ll sit and watch his Batman movie (he watches the same dam movie a 100 times a week and that’s why I’m sick of it.)
I don’t know how he can stand watching the same thing over and over again, but then again he was raised sitting in front of the TV 24/7 when he was a kid.
That was his Mom’s way of dealing with 15 kids, stick them in front of the Tv to keep them occupied.
They all love watching TV for hours, or working for hours. They don’t do much else!
I’m the type to sit in front of a computer 24/7 and surf the Internet, feed my brain with any kind of interesting information about science, entertainment or Hollywood news.
I’m always reading about SEO Marketing techniques and surfing hundreds of blogs.
When I find one that I think people will find useful, I feature it here on my Idea Girl Consulting Word Press site.
Back to the office, that was a rabbit trail…
I finally put that cool art bench that I bought at Value Village for $10 in between my two mini desks.
Now I can hook up my printer to any computer.
I still have to get a screen for my dad’s computer then I will have to figure out how to use his music programs.
I’m thinking of putting my love for photography and meditation music together.
I love to tinker with my camera and I like playing the piano and making up songs.
Today I started singing this cool love song, but then I forgot it as soon as it was sung?
I should have a notebook over there with a pen.
I’ll need some sort of gizmo to record the tune, since I haven’t written any music in awhile.
Dad’s computer program will do that for me, if I can figure out how do I hook up my computer to the piano?
I just realized I didn’t get the memory card with it, so I’ll text my sons and ask them what they did with it.
Dad had a gorgeous white electronic grand piano and gave it to the boys when he died. (they got it in the will LOL)
They tell me it doesn’t work!
That thing was $10,000!
The crappy synthesizer we bought for $700 bucks, over 20 years old works fine?
What’s up with that!
Oh well, I hope they kept it around, maybe someone can fix it!
Oh yeah, love having the radio on, so much fun to type to tunes.
