Wouldn’t it be grand to have a Harry Potter Journal?
You write down your dreams, wave your magic wands and voila there it is!
You know it’s pretty cool when you keep a daily journal then you go back over it a year later. Especially if you’ve written down a few goals and you have achieved every one of them. In my case I wrote a “bucket list” down two years ago and I’d have to say there’s only 2 things I haven’t done on it.
It’s all because I still haven’t gotten my USA passport! I know I’m supposed to apply for one but really without a reliable vehicle I haven’t bothered.
Remember I said a few months back I was going to travel and meet my bucket list goals?
I had everything set and ready to go and then BAM! The car breaks down, a few times and I have to wave bye bye to the money I had worked so hard to save for the past year!
How can I go through that money so fast with a couple of car repairs?
How come it costs about $100 to $200 for one lousy part in my old car?
I hate to see the price of the new stuff!
They want $300 for a fuel pump! Yikes! I’m glad we have friends who work closely with junk yards and they can get second hand parts for cheap!
Did you know if you work for an auto dealer you can get 20% off your parts?
Did you also know that there are loads of useful videos on You tube where you can do research and save yourself hundreds of dollars in repair costs?
It took me a week to do the research but I typed on Google what had happened to the car and it gave me thousands of hits and scenarios and threads of people talking about the same make and model of car!
It was kind of depressing though, because the car that I got for such a cheap price a year ago, has issues in the repair department. Oh yes it’s fabulous on gas! Nothing cheaper (well those little sardine cans on wheels will get better mileage but my car’s roomy and I like it that way!)
You should have seen my kitchen, when I took everything OUT Of the car and put it in there. Wall to wall stuff for the beach, daisy and well about six towels, 3 rafts, 2 lawn chairs, bags and bags of stuff!
I found some of my missing clothes and Harold didn’t throw them out after all! LOL
Just kidding, he was accusing me of throwing out these ratty looking shorts of his but he found them in the many bags from the car.
The smell was like a sweaty sock locker but after 10 loads of wash (yes 10!) everything is smelling much nicer. Of course I lit a few incesnse sticks, opened all the windows (gagging for air) and even Harold who seems to not mind the averse smells of daisy. (I’m a clean freak, I like everything smelling like soap)
Harold noticed the smell in the house! LOL
I joked around with him and asked if ghosts can have a smell about them, but he thought I might be right and didn’t get that it was a JOKE!
He kept accusing me of having stinky feet which is impossible because I wash my feet everytime I take off my shoes. (mental habit? no as I said I love the smell of soap) Also because I’m constantly bugging him for foot massages I’ve got to keep my wittle toes nice and clean!
So the moral of this story is… do your laundry more often in the summer because it wreaks of sweaty balls and stuff and write a daily journal that you can read again someday and have a good chuckle. Always be positive in your journal that way if someone else gets a hold of it (like after you die, they ALL read what you have to say) then it will be great to read and provide a good memory for your loved ones!
For yourself it will be something humorous to go over and you might be surprised at how much you have changed or not in the past year!
