Malaysia-International Fashion Week: Hot and Trendy – Nik Erwan Roseli – Tongue in Chic – Karen Wong

As you know I posted a new Soulja Boy video on Idea Girl Consulting and decided to look up the newest fashion designer, so I could post an idea of mine. I came across Nik Erwan Roseli – Tongue in Chic Annual Style Awards 2009 and posted some of his fashions that I’d like to see in a music video.

I was wondering just what is Tongue in Chic?

You know me, the Google Happy Girl, I always look things up when I don’t have a clue what they are.

Google says that Tongue in Chic is a Blog that brings together fashion writers from the south East Asia Region to present their city’s fashion news.

So I click on it and I come across this very informative fashion site written by Karen Wong.

First I notice the nice clean easy style, with awesome pictures and articles about International Fashion News.

I was reading her tweets on the sidebar and I’ll be doing some more research on the people that are mentioned in the latest award categories.

It is very important if you are looking to get into the fashion world to be familiar with the designers names, the styles and awards.

You will find oodles of information on Karen Wong’s – Tongue in chic not only about Nik Erwan Roseli but other up and coming designers.

I couldn’t help but notice this model who is 6 ft 8, Amazon Eve nicknamed Babezilla model from California in Karen’s Fashion News Around the World section of her Blog.

I learned several “awards” on Karen’s site which I plan to research and share with all of you.

I’ve received emails from people on Facebook asking me to help them become models and enter into the fashion world?

I can’t help you GET into the fashion world, but I can do the research and write about it so that you can all learn something new!

Nik Erwan Roseli’s have appeared in Seventeen, Her World and in other fashion magazines.

It’s been awhile since a movie has made me laugh hysterically throughout the WHOLE film to the point that I miss some of it because I’m in tears from bending over and laughing so hard.

This film, OLD DOGS did just that!

John Travolta and Robin Williams are the perfect mixture of a modern day Abbott and Costello, where the laughs keep coming over and over again.

The last time I laughed this hard throughout a movie was with Jeff Bridges and Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber. Only with that movie I actually watched it five times in a row, before I could get through the movie without laughing hysterically.

It was kind of embarrassing because at the first viewing I went with my cousin and her friend.

Three gigglers, and yes we giggled loudly, and I ended up falling out of my chair, laughing and crying and they did the same!

Needless to say we really pissed off the people sitting around us because of our loud raucous laughs.

I covered my mouth this time, but man I left this movie with a gut ache.

I think it exercised muscles that I never knew existed?

Maybe that’s why they say that laughter is good medicine for the soul.

Anyways, you will love the antics of the twins in the movie, where they suddenly appear into an executive bachelor’s life, turning it upside down, just because they can.

You know how kids can be, and this movie brings out the best in parenting.

It’s a warm, caring, loving movie about restoring a long lost relationship, creating bonds with you’re children and a family movie that all should go and see.

I guarantee you will laugh you’re a** off, so girls make sure you wear waterproof mascara.

That is the idea girl’s tip of the day. *big silly grin here*

Christmas Shopping – Flea Markets – Kids Craft Workshops – Pet Pictures – Fairview Mall St Catharines – Pen Center

Today I’m looking up information on the flea markets in the Toronto area.

We always like to go somewhere different and there are awesome deals at the bigger flea markets.

I find the one’s in the smaller cities and towns have a lot of peoples old stuff, baked goods and such.

I like to get deals on christmas gifts like WWE stuff, hats and scarves.

I went to Ardene’s today and got a hat and gloves for $15. It’s 2 for $15 and 2 for $20 sale on at the Pen Center in St Catharines.

On Sundays between noon and 3 pm, then 1 to 3 pm in the following weeks up to Christmas, the St Catharines Fairview Mall is having a craft workshop for kids.

News about getting your Pets Pictured with Santa at the Humane Society article was featured in Niagara this Week. Sunday Nov 29,2009 10 – 4 pm at 160 Fourth Ave. The cost is $10.

Strutt 2009 – 10th Annual Strutt Wearable Art Show – Niagara Artists Centre 2009

I saw the article in Niagara this Week on Thursday Nov 26, 2009 called Artists Strutt their stuff by Michael Speck.

Quote: “Fashion Designers created wearable art for the 10th Annual Strutt Wearable Art Show for 2009 “a celebration of the absurd…part homage and part send-up of the worlds of art and fashion.” as Niagara Artists Centre Director Stephen Remus describe it in the event’s program description.”

The event raised $15,000 for NAC and many came from Toronto to see it.

Many volunteers were from The Suitcase in Point theatre company, students from Brock University’s department of Dramatic Arts all came out to be models for the wearable art show.

The winners are posted in the newspaper article and on the Nac – Niagara Artists Centre website.

I’ve been busy this evening, I did a quick spell check on my novel and I’ve posted the first five pages of chapter One.

I will be working on the other new Squidoo sites this weekend, and i’ll post them once they are completed.
I had a great idea.
I’m going to make each site then write up individual descriptions for each picture.
I can use them in my final manuscript if I need to add in some “filler” to keep the publisher happy.

I am so excited to finally be going ahead with one of my goals.
Pursuing a literary agent or a publisher to look at my new romance chic lit book that I’ve written.
