I won!!!!

I won the NaNoWriMo Challenge for 2009 and for the Niagara Region!

I received my certificate and badge via email but was unable to copy and paste it here!

I have printed up the YOU WON!!! email and Winner Certificate and posted both of them up on my wall right in front of me.

Now I can say I officially feel like a real novelist!

I’ve written my first chic lit rough draft and I’ve won my first contest.

Next I will be making my query letter and finding a Literary Agent and Publisher to bring the book to your fingertips!

I do have to revise it first, and I don’t think that will take too long.

My synopsis is already completed, so I just have to read it through and make sure all my p’s and q’s are correct and it will be ready to roll to the presses.

I’m thinking either Penguin Group or St Martin’s Press, because I see a lot of chic lit coming from them and I love their book covers!

I want mine to be a bright green with pink, yellow and blue cartoon like characters on it.

A Beautiful office chickie sitting behind a desk with piles of papers around her and loads of bouquets of roses surrounding her.

I wish I could draw, because I’d love to make my own book cover if I could.

Maybe I can get a student from an art class to do a book cover for me?

A sort of contest, and the winner’s cover goes on my book.

Then I’ll give them some sort of credit that can be used towards their educational degree.

I wonder if there is such a program already set up out there in art land?

If not, I think it would be a fantastic idea, don’t you?

If you think I should do this, let me know.

I’d like some feedback on what type of art schools I should approach and should it also include a computer graphics class.
