*its a joke it’s cold and snowy and I posted it with a HOT song LOL*
we were on our way to visit the white meadows farms (see other video) and saw this cool giraffee art work on top of this building, so I got out and took some photos.

Now if you are near vansickle rd it will take you to the big Walmart plaza where there’s grocery, retail stores of everything you need from home, fashion, electronics, restaurants and furniture in a cluster of over 50 retail stores on the corner of vansickle rd and fourth ave.

You can get to fourth ave from the 406 Hwy – off the QEW Niagara – QEW Toronto, QEW Fort Erie,all within 25 minutes from Buffalo New York – Peace Bridge – Rainbow Bridge and Queenston Bridge.

Take St Paul West (heading East) and at Fifth Ave (left) you’ll find Hernder Estates Winery. Keep going and cross over Pelham Rd to Effingham St (head south) and you’ll find White Meadows Farms.

This is about 1.5 hours away from the CNE Downtown Toronto Area, 45 minutes from Hamilton and 15 minutes from Jordan, Vineland area.

While out shopping go visit the White Meadows Farms on Effingham St for a delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausage and home made maple syrup…

Starting Feb 19th, – White Meadow Farms collects the maple sap from it’s trees and makes syrup right there in front of you. It only goes for a short period of time so check out their website for details on my video.

I also noticed theres some horse back riding farms out here too.

Swiss Chalet 285 Geneva St, St Catharines ON 905 934 5536

it was over 30 years ago that I walked through the doors of the FIRST Swiss Chalet Restaurant at 285 Geneva Street in St Catharines Ontario Canada.  It was built with a Swiss Alp look and the waiters,waitresses had Swiss Costumes on… I cried when they tore it down in 2009.  I was excited to find out Jan 2011 they had built another one in it’s place.  New, cozy, family style restaurant.  I had to take some photos while I cashed in my buy one meal get one free coupons.  You see every Christmas we head to the Pen Centre (where there is another Swiss Chalet Restaurant) and buy the festival meal.

A white meat only quarter chicken dinner, with fries, gravy and a bun. You get a little box of chocolates for dessert and inside on the lid is a two for one meal coupon value $7.99.  I didn’t notice the coupons the first year they did it and I could kick myself for throwing out the little box… lol

But this year I had two coupons so….

I gave one to my friend Clyde.

He had a 2 for 1 ticket for the movies.. so we swapped.

I went to see the movie “no strings attached” with him.

Not bad.. I got free pop corn and a pop because I had the $2.00 off combo coupon, and he had the bongo coupon 2 for 1 movie specials.

We both bought those $30 gift cards in December at Empire Theatres and were using up those coupons.

If Harry (my significant other) doesn’t like a movie, then I go with our friend Clyde.

Coupons are a wonderful thing.

there are several chinese buffet restaurants in St Catharines Ontario and I’ve been going to each one to take photos and make videos about great places to eat.

This one serves breakfast all day – sausage, scrambled eggs, bacon , sweet potato patties, chinese food, soups, desserts and more.

The variety of menu’s is DIFFERENT at each Chinese Restaurant which is cool so you can eat at a different one three days in a row and have different dishes each and every time.

This restaurant has 4 large dining rooms (and a separate room for wedding parties) which is awesome for large Chinese Bus Tours from Niagara Falls to Toronto.  Easy to get too from the QEW Niagara – QEW Toronto, QEW Fort Erie – Peace Bridge, Queenston Bridge, Rainbow Bridge (within 10 minutes to each), only 5 minutes away from the QEW Highway – Skyway Bridge and Welland Canal Museum Touring Places.

 

Many Chinese Exchange students visit this Restaurant and the other one on Hartzel Rd.

Are you making plans to go out with your family this week?

I found a COOL place to go for food, fun, tobogganing and skating.

Starting Feb 19th, 2011 the sap starts to fall and they have maple syrup tours at that time.

I’ve gone here TWICE and missed it.

I’ll be going back in February to take the tour of the Maple Syrup factory there…

In the mean time I’ve created a video of our visit and I’ll be posting pictures on my photography blogs.

If you loved the princess diaries and the shrek movies then your going to enjoy this one.

It’s a funny story when  girl becomes a princess and she’s preparing to marry a future king.

But some of the royal subjects, including the grooms best friend don’t want a mere commoner in the palace.

Lies, deception and head games ensue and keep you on your toes during the film.

It’s dramatic to comical to adventurous, I loved it and you will too!
