you want to feel like your cursed when you write about a DARK type of character.. i’m going on about this on the writing blogs, giving each one a new tip tonight
your dark characters are hard to do if you live a goodie goodie style of life.. i mean your always a good person, kind, loving, tender.. it may be hard to think and act like a dark person in your novels
so rule of thumb for me.. listen to some dark tunes, picture it in your mind what you want your character to look like
think of all the bullies in grade school that gave you a hard time, feel that hatred from long ago then channel it into the frustration of writing
write how you felt at the time as the victim and let it pour out.. you’ll be surprised with what you come up with
