More weather woes for eastern USa Violent thunder storms hit washington DC NO Power 100 Degree Heat WAve

Power crews are scrambling to restore electricity to millions of homes in the eastern United States after a thunderstorm toppled powerlines, killing at least 10 people. Emergencies have been declared in the capital Washington, and the four neighbouring states of Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. And now residents are desperately trying to keep cool in the midst of a blistering heatwave. Al Jazeera’s John Terrett reports from the capital.
