Betty’s Kitchen Sirloin Steak Taco Bake Super Bowl Snack Recipe Videos

Betty demonstrates how to make Sirloin Steak Taco Bake. This is a taco casserole that has a spicy sauce that includes pulled sirloin beef steak and tortilla squares.

1 pound cooked sirloin beef steak, chopped or pulled into bite-sized chunks (I cooked 4 pounds of sirloin steak in a slow cooker, and measured out ¼ of it for this recipe. I also used the pan drippings to make gravy for this recipe.)
½ cup to 1 cup beef gravy, as made in this video or from a can or packaged mix (I used ½ cup gravy, but the casserole will be juicier with 1 full cup.)

1 cup picante sauce (I have a great recipe for picante sauce in bettyskitchen, or you can use bottled picante sauce, as I did in the video.)
½ cup to 1 cup tomato sauce, to your liking, as far as juiciness and taste are concerned
½ cup sour cream
eight 6-inch corn tortillas, cut into 1-inch squares
1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese (4 ounces)

In a large bowl, mix together cooked sirloin steak chunks, beef gravy, picante sauce, tomato sauce, sour cream, tortilla squares, and one-half of the cheese. Spoon mixture into an 8-inch by 12-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil spray. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until beef mixture is hot and bubbling. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Return the baking dish to the oven for 5 minutes or so to melt the cheese on top, if desired. Serve and enjoy! –Betty 🙂
