In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Broiled Ham Steak. This is the entrée for our Mother’s Day Table.

(1) 2-inch-thick boneless fully cooked ham steak (I got my ham steak specially cut from the deli section of our supermarket.)
½ cup ginger ale
½ cup orange juice
¼ cup light brown sugar firmly packed
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 ½ teaspoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves.

In a large, heavy-duty Ziplock bag place all ingredients, except for ham steak. Close the top and use your fingers to press the bottom of the bag together to combine marinade. Open the top and place the ham steak inside with the marinade.

Seal top and place in a bowl or on a plate. Refrigerate overnight, turning bag over once. The next day, remove ham from marinade, keeping the marinade for basting ham, if desired. Place ham on a broiler pan and cover loosely with aluminum foil for easy access.

Place in a 350 degree (F) oven and bake for 15 minutes on each side. Ham steak will be ready when it is heated through, about 140 degrees (F). When ham steak is almost done, remove the aluminum foil cover entirely, turn oven to broil, and cook until outside has browned nicely. Remove from oven and place on a nice serving platter. Slice thinly and serve immediately. Enjoy! Love, Betty ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
