In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Fireworks Fruit Explosion (Beverage) for 4th of July. Of course, it’s great anytime!

Ingredients:

2 liters 7-Up or Sprite, chilled (I used Diet 7-Up.)
½ cup Triple Sec or other orange liqueur, chilled
assorted fruits: blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, seedless grapes, lemon slices, orange slices, sprigs of rosemary, washed and prepared (You may add or take away any fruit or herb.)

Pour 2 liters chilled 7-Up or Sprite into a large bowl. Stir in ½ cup chilled Triple Sec liqueur.

Pour some of the mixture into a large clear pitcher, leaving about 1/3 of the space at the top of the pitcher free. Now, chose fruit pieces from the above list (and/or others) and arrange them in the 7-Up mixture.

At the beginning, most of the fruits will float, but, as they absorb the 7-Up mixture they will become heavier and distribute themselves throughout the liquid mixture. When you are finished placing the fruit, top the picture off (about an inch from the top) with additional 7-Up mixture.

Serve immediately, or cover with plastic wrap and chill until fruit flavors are infused into the 7-Up mixture and fruits are distributed throughout the liquid. To serve, pour liquid into a cocktail glass (such as a highball glass or old fashioned glass), adding as much fruit as desired. I hope you find this drink delicious and refreshing! –Betty 🙂
